Executive Board

Victor M. Barra
(2004 – Present)
President – WFCL
Vic, A lifelong Westland resident lives with his wife Laurie, son Chris (23), and our dog Willow (2) near the Civic League. Vic is also the proud father of Holly (43), Nicholas (41), and has 4 grandchildren. Vic currently works full time as the Wayne Ford Civic Leagues Facility Director and has overseen the renovation of the exterior and interior features of the Civic League building.
Vic’s numerous hobbies have included coordinating the community’s Annual Memorial Day Parade (2019-2023), Building Wheelchair Ramps for local disabled Veterans, Founded an Annual Veterans Holiday Meal program, and facilitating community support efforts within the school district and community.

Jim Hart
(2015 – Present)
Vice President – WFCL
Jim’s wife Linda, his three children Richard, Samantha, and Michael, and his two dogs Maisy and Luna, in Westland. Jim works full time as a Sr. Fixed Wireless Engineer with Verizon Wireless and is also the owner of RSM Technical Solutions, LLC.
Jim’s hobbies include Volunteering, Travel, Camping, BBQ, and Hotrods. Jim also serves as an elected member of the Westland City Council.

Karen McDonnough
(2012 – Present)
Trustee – WFCL
Karen is a Trustee of The Wayne Ford Civic League and has been for approximately the last twelve years. She is a 1961 graduate of the old Plymouth High School located in the City of Plymouth. GO PLYMOUTH ROCKS!
Karen retired from being a legal secretary/office manager of the original law firm of Millar, Weinberg, Necker, Johnson, Wagner, Clark and Ryan with offices in Wayne, Romulus and Plymouth. She has been married to her husband, Michael, of 59 years . she has two daughters and three grandsons. Stays active with my bowling league, my Bunco Babes Bunco Club, and attending the Senior Dinner Dances at the Civic League.
